If you use Google Drive and Docs with your students, you probably realize that you can link to shared Google documents and shared Google folders in Moodle. But you may not know that you can also embed Google Docs inside your Moodle course.

Save MS Word as PDF

These days it is fairly easy to save most documents as PDF files. PDFs are platform neutral, and they open in a browser or with a free PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Viewer. Students who do not have MS Office, Publisher, etc., on their home computer can still open and view PDF files.

Save as a PDF in MS Office 

  1. Click on the Windows menu
  2. Save As
  3. PDF or XPS

Save PP as PDF

  1. Click on the Windows menu
  2. Save As
  3. PDF or XPS 
  4. Click on Options.

TEACHERS: How to link or embed a Google calendar in your course

Google calendar settings1. Open your Google calendar and go into the settings of the specific calendar you want to link or embed. DO NOT use you your personal calendar!

2. Make sure the calendar is marked as Public on the Share this Calendar tab, otherwise your students won't be able to see it.
